One Must Fall: 2097 replaced the human fighters with robots. In-game competitors were connected to a machine which allowed them direct control of, and shared sensation with, their robot counterparts. Eleven robots and ten customizable pilots were available for play, along with five arenas and four tournaments. The pilots vary in strength, speed and endurance, thus the many robot/pilot combinations allow for larger replay value.
In the year 2097, a decision was made to man one of Jupiter’s moons with humans and robots. Due to the harsh conditions that prevail, they want to get the best man who can be the first to survive there, so they decide to test the skills of the candidates by competing with giant robots that the contestants will operate. Your job is to choose the person you think is suitable and the robot that best suits him… then start smashing the other robots.
